Commentary on this passage
Verse 2
1.In traditions so many things have been said about Naba-e-Azim. But actually for the idolaters all the statements of the Prophet of Islam were great news. And they were discussing these subjects among themselves, that how much reality is there in whatever information he gives everyday. Sometimes he says about Allah, sometimes about the hereafter, sometimes regarding prophethood and sometimes other things. Allah has clarified that in very near future they will come to know. After that He mentions the witnesses of His power, from which it can be estimated that this subject was also under discussion. Then the hereafter is discussed, which is a sign that this was also a subject. Then other details of reward and punishments are stated and in between certain other important subtle points are indicated. For example Kazzabu-b-eAyatena - kizzaaba from which it is understood that infidels had rejected and refused to believe the Verses regarding Allah and this statement also receives support that by Naba-e-Azim it is meant Wilayat of Ali Ibne Abi Talib (a.s.). The confession of which is also made by the worst of enemies, Amr Aas that he is Naba-ul-Azim and Falak-e-Nuh. An indication is also given at the end of the Surah that infidels would wish they were dust. That is he wanted to remain without responsibility and as inorganic matter and this indicates that verdict will be on the basis of love of Abu Turab and infidels have been deprived of this too. For this reason he wishes that if I was dust (Turab), I would have been under sovereignty of Abu Turab and would have come with his love to the plain of gathering.
