Commentary on this passage
1.Allah has stated about His different signs in opposition of atheists in the verse of the Holy Quran. Its details are as under:
(i) Allah splits the grains and this is His power that grain is split from both the sides. Roots appear from one side and the branches grow from other side.
(ii) He brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living. one of his evidence is this that He produces a tree from the rotten grains and produces the seeds from the green foliage.
(iii) He is the Creator of dawn and breaks the darkness of night and brings forth the light.
(iv) He has made the night for rest and has made the sun and the moon that man can follow the right path in their lives.
(v) He has made the stars to guide the helpless travellers in the darkness in order that they can find the way.
(vi) Allah has created all human beings from Adam (a.s.) and has made separate abodes for all.
(vii) He has made land fertile by sending down water from the clouds.
(viii) He has created the spikes of corns and clusters of fruits and flowers resembling the structure and splendor man too has been endowed with.
(ix) Allah has made tall trees of dates and its clusters downwards to provide its benefit from it with ease.
(x) Allah has made fruits similar and dissimilar. These are the permanent signs of natural proofs.
(xi) He ripens the fruits after creating the fruits, becomes delicious in taste and tempting in look, making the weak stronger from its utilization. If the people disbelieve (in God) after these signs then they are the unmindful.

Benefit
The 101st ayat is a remarkable sarcasm of the foolishness of the infidels. That is they had assign children to God, they should have first assigned Him a wife. At least they should have applied their sense that how can someone have children without having a wife.
