Commentary on this passage

Verse 1

3.In this Surah, the word “Rahman” is used as a name, instead of an attribute, which is the announcement of His utmost mercy, of which the most important phenomenon is the teaching of Quran. No mercy and blessings are greater than that. After that comes the difficult stage of creation of man. So that man does not regard teaching of the Quran as petty. And he should know that all the excellence of description and expression is that he should be under the influence of the teachings of the Holy Quran and he should not get deviated from that. As He has fixed this distinction of creation of man He has kept him under the influence of the teaching of Quran. Otherwise sometimes man becomes worse than animals.

Verse 7

4.Man should keep in mind justice and impartiality and correct weight and proportion in all his dealings. As the omnipotent has kept the balance in the creation of the whole universe and has maintained the balance till the end.

Verse 13

5.It is a general announcement and these bounties are for both, men and jinns. So none of them could deny them; and the bounties are so vast that how much they can deny and which of the bounties they will falsify? On the basis of some traditions there is a possibility that It denotes two specific persons whose very nature is denial of divine bounties. Their occupation is none but to deny every divine bounty.
