Commentary on this passage
Verse 45
1.Infidels were proud of their power and used to ridicule the Prophet (s.a.) on everything but they realised their power in the very first confrontation, when in Badr they lost to the unarmed Muslims and ran away from the battlefield. Disgrace and ignominy became their destiny and Allah made it clear that those who keep faith in Him are always winners and successful. And those who mock Our signs are always degraded.
Verse 50
2.The Omnipotent is not in need of time and space. His command is manifested with the result and is known through the action and result only that He had given some command. Otherwise no one could know about the command. The blink is just for conciliation, otherwise in that much time a slave can bring the throne of Bilqees from Saba and put it in front of Sulaiman. Who can estimate the power and might of the Lord of the universe?
