51:32They said, ‘We have been sent toward a guilty people,
51:33that We may rain upon them stones of clay,
51:35So We picked out those who were in it of the faithful,
51:36but We did not find there other than one house of Muslims,
51:37and We have left therein a sign for those who fear a painful punishment.’
51:38And in Moses [too there is a sign] when We sent him to Pharaoh with a manifest authority.
51:39But he turned away assured of his might, and said, ‘A magician or a crazy man!’
51:40So We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea, while he was blameworthy.34
51:42It left nothing that it came upon without making it like decayed bones.6
51:43And in Thamud, when they were told, ‘Enjoy for a while.’
51:44Then they defied the command of their Lord; so the thunderbolt seized them as they looked on.
51:45So they were neither able to rise up, nor to come to one another’s aid.
51:46And the people of Noah aforetime. Indeed, they were a transgressing lot.
51:47We have built the heaven with might, and indeed it is We who are its expanders.7
51:48And We have spread out the earth, so how excellent spreaders We have been!8
51:49In all things We have created pairs so that you may take admonition.
51:50‘So flee toward Allah. Indeed, I am from Him a manifest warner to you.9

Commentary on this passage
Verse 33
1.It is the law of Islam that man and woman after getting married and even though having the chances of getting their sexual desires satisfied, if they establish unlawful contacts, then they should be killed by stoning. It is obvious that the One Allah who cannot tolerate such relations (contacts) of man and woman, which is natural, how He can tolerate the unhealthy contacts - relations between man and man. And since in this issue the people were not at all ready to accept what Lut (a.s.) was saying, Allah Himself arranged for the heavenly torment and alerted the nations of the world that certain sins are such that We arrange immediate punishment for that and out of those sins one is homosexuality. May Allah give a sound mind to the people of today.
Verse 47
2.The past Muslim theologians had interpreted the vastness of the sky as the corning down of rain and subsistence, but today it is ascertained that in the atmosphere expanse is created continuously. And till today discovery of multiple expanses have been made. What position will be next, that Allah knows the best.
Verse 49
3.Right from the pollens to the man no creation is there whose pair is not made. By pair it is not meant to be husband and wife, but it is man and woman (male and female). That is to say in humans also two genders are created; the issue of marriage is absolutely irrelevant to this.
