44. Ad-Dukhaan · The Smoke
Makkan59 verses
ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ
44:49[and tell them,] “Taste this! Indeed you are the [self-styled] mighty and noble!1
إِنَّ هَٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَمْتَرُونَ
44:50This is what you used to doubt!’
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى مَقَامٍ أَمِينٍۢ
44:51Indeed the Godwary will be in a safe place,
فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ
44:52amid gardens and springs,
يَلْبَسُونَ مِن سُندُسٍۢ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ
44:53dressed in fine silk and brocade, sitting face to face.
كَذَٰلِكَ وَزَوَّجْنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍۢ
44:54So shall it be, and We shall wed them to black-eyed houris.
يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِكُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍ ءَامِنِينَ
44:55Secure [from any kind of harm,] there they will call for every kind of fruit [they wish].
لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
44:56Other than the first death, they will not taste death therein, and He will save them from the punishment of hell*
فَضْلًۭا مِّن رَّبِّكَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
44:57—a grace from your Lord. That is the great success.
فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَٰهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
44:58Indeed We have made it simple in your language, so that they may take admonition.
فَٱرْتَقِبْ إِنَّهُم مُّرْتَقِبُونَ
44:59So wait! They [too] are waiting.
Tafsir
Commentary on this passage
Verse 51
1.People seek four comforts in life (a) Nice food to eat (b) Nice clothes to wear (c) Nice place to live in with all the comforts (d) Beautiful and good-natured wife so that life would not be uncomfortable. Allah made people attentive that it is impossible to obtain such comforts in the world. Trouble is included with every comfort. There is danger of the food getting spoilt, clothes wear out, houses can collapse and the wife would become old. Of course the bounties of heaven are immortal and there is no danger of anything. Only the difference is that it is not possible to obtain all these without the fear of God. The houses of heaven are secured and there are gardens and springs. The clothes of heaven are of thick and light silk and they are also adornments. The wives are houris : Pure, attractive with big beautiful eyes. There is every kind of fruit. And the greatest bounty is that there is no danger of death. The Grace of Allah is always with you. This is real comfort and achievement, which is real success.

Benefit
The Arabic dictionaries mention 27 connotations of the word Maula and Quran has used this word in an unequivocal way. It proves that no relative is to be of any avail except one who is blessed by Allah which is the best reward of the love of Able Bayt (a.s.).

It is the spiritual punishment that the inmates of Hell have to suffer which is in addition to the physical punishments of Hell, that Angels will say ‘come and taste the fire’, you were very honourable! That is you thought your worldly position will save you from punishment. Now what is going to happen and who can save you? (May Allah keep all the believers safe from this punishment).
Benefit
In the 56th ayat the first death is the end of life about which everyone is well-aware otherwise there is also a death of Barzakh which is not generally known by the people. Thus it is not mentioned. Though the first death is common for the believer and the infidels, regarding the believer it is said that after this there is only life, while for the infidels even after that there is no life.
