39:67They do not regard Allah with the regard due to Him, yet the entire earth will be in His fist on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens, scrolled, in His right hand. Immaculate is He and exalted above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him].

Commentary on this passage
Verse 60
1.A circle of false allegations is very vast. It may be about deeds and actions and also faith or belief. Such as quoted from the tradition of Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) that he was asked about it. He said one who has claimed Imamat from his own side, fits the allusion of this Ayat. The narrator asked: Even if it be Syed Fatimi. He said: No doubt. After attributing falsehood against Allah, no status is left of his lineage.
Verse 65
2.It is clear that there is no possibility of a minor sin in the pious people such as infidelity or polytheism. But Allah has stated in the same manner that you can estimate the seriousness of talk. And listeners should know that after polytheism, the leadership or Apostleship is of no use. Then what more needs to be discussed as regards wealth. As Allah stated at the Ghadeer-e-Khum, if you do not indicate this issue, you have not propagated your missionary work, that the greatness of Ali (a.s.) and his importance would be completely expressed while Muslim people still aver that leadership remains incomplete if it was not announced and in such manner the faith would remain incomplete without confessing the truth.

Explanations of words and phrases in these verses
Benefit
The traditions mention two applications of the term ‘Kizb ala allaah’ (1) Man is not an Imam but he claims to be an Imam even though he is Alid or Fatimid. (2) He attributes something to Imam that the Imam has never said because Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has said: We Able Bayt (a.s.) do not quote the sayings of others. We only quote the statements of Allah and the Prophet (s.a.). To attribute something falsely to us tantamounts to be false attribution against Allah and the Prophet.
- 1
This word is generally used for denial. That is, there is nothing of the kind and there is no chance of return. Whatever one has to do, it is in this world alone. After this there is nothing but accounting and recompense. There is no possibility of actions or deeds.
- 2
Such a clear statement proves that in the view of Allah those who invite towards the worship of something or someone other than Allah are absolutely ignorant. They might be having a great degree or certificate, knowledge is not obtained by certificates and degrees. Knowledge is the exposition of facts and one who cannot understand that no one deserves to be worshipped except Allah is the greatest ignorant.
Benefit
The 65th and 66th ayats prove that acceptance of deeds is subject to belief and the deeds of the infidels are null and void. This is the greatest lesson of life. That the polytheists have not realized the greatness of Allah while the believers have such understanding. A funny thing is that the disease of humanity is polytheism and the medicine is thankfulness.
