Commentary on this passage
Verse 71
1.Here, at this position, institution about both those that are in the heaven and that are in the earth, in which are found jointly and similarity in different ways. Commonly, the word jointly is used for both, that means the condemned will not enter of their own and so also for the people of heaven. On the contrary both shall be brought together. It is different that people of hell will not enter due to fear and people of heaven win not enter due to politeness and modesty as if they are not worthy, only the blessings of Allah can take them to Heaven.
The word Zumar is also joined in this manner that shows people from both sides will go together and judgment will not be given individually and it is necessary they will be along with their leaders in the form of communities and not scattered therewith.
This point worth consideration is that it mentions in both places that the door shall be opened, but this is for Heaven and not about hell, that means that the doors of hell are always open and are waiting for the sinners and the doors of Heaven will be opened for the pious with honor and they would be welcomed as the doors are opened for their sake.

It is asked how the sound of the bugle will reach while the speed of sound is only 240 meters per second, while the speed of light is 300000 kms per second. But a tradition of the Messenger of Islam (s.a.w.s.) has compared the soor with the horn of light. This is the best solution of the problem. (Ilmul Yaqeen pg. 892).
- 1
The blowing of horn is mentioned in various places in the Holy Quran and its effects are also described to be various which indicates that on the first blowing everyone will become terrified as mentioned in Surah Naml. Then on the second blowing everyone will die as indicated in this ayat also and everyone will become alive on the third blowing. Now it is a matter of debate as to who are meant by the phrase ‘Except whom Allah pleases.’ Some people say it applies to Jibreel, the trustworthy and some say it is Israfeel, and some have taken it to mean Allah himself. May Allah have mercy on them.
