Verses 108–133

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ﴿١٠٨﴾

37:108and left for him a good name in posterity:

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ﴿١٠٩﴾

37:109‘Peace be to Abraham!’

كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿١١٠﴾

37:110Thus do We reward the virtuous.

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿١١١﴾

37:111He is indeed one of Our faithful servants.

وَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِإِسْحَٰقَ نَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ﴿١١٢﴾

37:112And We gave him the good news of [the birth of] Isaac, a prophet, one of the righteous.

وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌۭ وَظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌۭ﴿١١٣﴾

37:113And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants [some] are virtuous, and [some] who manifestly wrong themselves.

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ﴿١١٤﴾

37:114Certainly We favoured Moses and Aaron,

وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ﴿١١٥﴾

37:115and delivered them and their people from their great distress,

وَنَصَرْنَٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ﴿١١٦﴾

37:116and We helped them so that they became the victors.

وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ﴿١١٧﴾

37:117We gave them the illuminating scripture

وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ﴿١١٨﴾

37:118and guided them to the straight path,

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ﴿١١٩﴾

37:119and left for them a good name in posterity.

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ﴿١٢٠﴾

37:120‘Peace be to Moses and Aaron!’

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿١٢١﴾

37:121Thus indeed do We reward the virtuous.

إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿١٢٢﴾

37:122They are indeed among Our faithful servants.

وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ﴿١٢٣﴾

37:123Indeed Ilyas was one of the apostles.

إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ﴿١٢٤﴾

37:124When he said to his people, ‘Will you not be Godwary?

أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًۭا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ﴿١٢٥﴾

37:125Do you invoke Baal and abandon the best of creators,

ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ﴿١٢٦﴾

37:126Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?,’

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ﴿١٢٧﴾

37:127they impugned him. So they will indeed be mustered [in hell]

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ﴿١٢٨﴾

37:128—[all] except Allah’s exclusive servants.

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ﴿١٢٩﴾

37:129We left for him a good name in posterity.

سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ﴿١٣٠﴾

37:130‘Peace be to Ilyas!’¹

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ﴿١٣١﴾

37:131Thus indeed do We reward the virtuous.

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿١٣٢﴾

37:132He is indeed one of Our faithful servants.

وَإِنَّ لُوطًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ﴿١٣٣﴾

37:133Indeed Lot was one of the apostles.
