Makkan45 verses

35:12Not alike are the two seas: this one sweet and agreeable, pleasant to drink, and that one briny and bitter, and from each you eat fresh meat and obtain ornaments, which you wear. And you see the ships plowing through them, that you may seek of His bounty, and so that you may give thanks.1

35:13He makes the night pass into the day and makes the day pass into the night, and He has disposed the sun and the moon, each moving for a specified term. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs all sovereignty. As for those whom you invoke besides Him, they do not control so much as the husk of a date stone.2

35:14If you invoke them they will not hear your invocation, and even if they heard they cannot respond to you, and on the Day of Resurrection they will forswear your polytheism, and none can inform you like the One who is all-aware.3

35:15O mankind! You are the ones who stand in need of Allah, and Allah—He is the All-sufficient, the All-laudable.

35:16If He wishes, He will take you away, and bring about a new creation;

35:17and that is not a hard thing for Allah.

35:18No bearer shall bear another’s burden, and should someone heavily burdened call [another] to carry it, nothing of it will be carried [by anyone] even if he should be a near relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in secret and maintain the prayer. Whoever purifies himself, purifies only for his own sake, and to Allah is the return.4

Commentary on this passage

Verse 12

1.The most beautiful similie of faith and infidelity is that infidelity is bitter water and faith is pure clear water. Both are beneficial but faith is faith and infidelity is infidelity. There is no possibility of likeness.

Verse 13

2.Even if it becomes a god falsehood is so helpless and dependant while if a believer who fulfills the religious duties is vested with authority. This can be seen in the Holy Quran again and again.

Verse 15

3.No doubt, a man is not only a beggar, rather he is an indigent from top to bottom. A beggar has a tongue of his own while the human tongue is also a gift of Allah. Therefore he is a destitute from top to bottom and this poverty is due to his pride. If he had sense, devilish pride would not be created in him.

Verse 18

4.This is permanent law of Islam. Owing to this all traditions all falsified that mention that crying of the living will cause chastisement on dead body and it is stated that Allah can punish one for the deed of the other. It is unacceptable and unimaginable.

Benefit: Ajal-e-Mosamma in the 13th ayat shows that Ajal is of two types. One is Musamma. which is related to the personal ability of the creatures just as there is an expiry date of everything. And another validity is established by external conditions where inspite of personal capacity an accident occurs and life ends.

Benefit: The 13th ayat mentions the idols which are deified. They are not in anyway related to the saints etc., calling whom is calling Allah and who are only intercessors and means. Thus the Wahhabi taweel is nothing more than a mischief.
