27. An-Naml · The Ant

أَمَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهْجَةٍۢ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُنۢبِتُوا۟ شَجَرَهَآ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌۭ يَعْدِلُونَ
27:60Is He who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water from the sky, whereby We grow delightful gardens, whose trees you could never cause to grow...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Indeed, they are a lot who equate [others with Allah].
أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلْأَرْضَ قَرَارًۭا وَجَعَلَ خِلَٰلَهَآ أَنْهَٰرًۭا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ حَاجِزًا ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
27:61Is He who made the earth an abode [for you], and made rivers [flowing] through it, and set firm mountains for it [’s stability], and set a barrier between the two seas...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Indeed, most of them do not know.1
أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ
27:62Is He who answers the call of the distressed [person] when he invokes Him and removes his distress, and makes you successors on the earth...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Little is the admonition that you take.2
أَمَّن يَهْدِيكُمْ فِى ظُلُمَٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَمَن يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ تَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
27:63Is He who guides you in the darkness of land and sea and who sends the winds as harbingers of His mercy...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Exalted is Allah above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him].
أَمَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَمَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَٰهٌۭ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَٰنَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ
27:64Is He who originates the creation, then He will bring it back, and who provides for you from the sky and the earth...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Say, ‘Produce your evidence, if you are truthful.’3
قُل لَّا يَعْلَمُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْغَيْبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ
27:65Say, ‘No one in the heavens or the earth knows the Unseen except Allah, and they are not aware when they will be resurrected.’
بَلِ ٱدَّٰرَكَ عِلْمُهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّۢ مِّنْهَا ۖ بَلْ هُم مِّنْهَا عَمُونَ
27:66Do they comprehend the knowledge of the Hereafter? No, they are in doubt about it. Indeed, they are blind to it.
Tafsir
Commentary on this passage
Verse 65
1.There is no doubt that knowledge is the essence only for the essential Being and besides this, whatever others have is the result of His favour and on the basis of this what can be said of the knowledge of the unseen the knowledge of the seen is also undoubtedly from Him and all have His endowment. It is another thing that He has endowed the knowledge of the seen in different proportions to different people. And whoever has been given senses has been given at least the knowledge of perception. otherwise it those senses would have been useless. He has not made the knowledge of the unseen so common so as to give it to all the creatures. Rather he has appointed selected people and in them too He has bestowed it according to his status and capability. And one of its secrets could also be that in giving the knowledge of the unseen there is less possibility of mischief and here the cure of mischief is also easy but in the unseen there is more possibility all do not have the ability to counter it. Therefore anyone who likes would propagate this knowledge and mislead the people. Therefore Allah made this way limited and granted this knowledge to His selected people so that there would be no possibility of mischief and one who wants to claim this knowledge, would give have to give proof to be an Apostle and the chosen one of Allah and after this if anyone claims such thing, it will not be acceptable without proof in the sight of intelligent people.

It is a special quality of water that the salty layer is found below the sweetish layer and in this way people get potable water, otherwise people in the area of the confluence of two seas would have no potable water.

Indeed, no one is going to help us in problems and calamities, except the Almighty Allah. He is the only one Who listens to the entreaty of the oppressed one in the dead of the night. While the rich people of the world do not even look towards the poor fellow beings. They consider it below their dignity. According to some traditions the word ‘Muztar’ is interpreted to denote Imam Mahdi (a.s.) whose only support will be Allah and he is the one to inherit the earth.
Benefit
The polytheists said that Qiyamat was baseless because life could not come out from the dead earth. The belief of Qiyamat is very outdated. If there is punishment in Qiyamat why doesn’t it befall the deniers of Qiyamat? The Almighty has rejected both these things. He announced that punishment is imminent sooner or later.

It should be clear that there are two channels of the sustenance of man. The earth and the heavens. The real sustainer grows grain from the earth and sends down water from the sky. No one else has any part to play in this. Thus it is wrong notion of the powerful states that they could impose sanctions on some people and starve them. Sustenance is related to the heaven and the earth and it is not concerned with East or West.
