26:145I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.
26:146Will you be left secure in that which is here
26:147—amid gardens and springs,
26:148farms and date palms with dainty spathes
26:149—while you skillfully hew out houses from the mountains?
26:150So be wary of Allah and obey me,

26:153They said, ‘Indeed you are one of the bewitched.
26:154You are just a human being like us. So bring us a sign, should you be truthful.’
26:155He said, ‘This is a she-camel; she shall drink and you shall drink on known days.

26:158So the punishment seized them. There is indeed a sign in that; but most of them do not have faith.

26:163So be wary of Allah and obey me.
26:164I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward lies only with the Lord of all the worlds.
26:165What! Of all people do you come to males,
26:166abandoning your wives your Lord has created for you? Indeed, you are a transgressing lot.’

Commentary on this passage
1.Of the many weaknesses of mankind, one of them is that he becomes entirely careless of the result seeing the pleasures and comforts and does not guess that this pleasure and comfort can end any time or it is possible that all comforts remain while a man passes away and cannot benefit from it. We have seen this character in some rich people, owners of large property, businessmen and officers perchance opined that this estate and princely state can be terminated and if the wronged party would decide to take revenge at this time, what would occur? And the businessmen and officers think what would happen if the establishment closed down or their services were terminated? And if they thought by evil trends and started gaining stocks and increasing their bank balance and did not think that this condition is better and fertile for some good deeds and later if the condition would be bad then nothing wil11eft except only expectation. To spend carelessly is incorrect. Allah is the Provider and Alive and will be alive and it is a true promise and Allah has promised to provide subsistence, He will be also fulfilling it.

Benefit
The Israaf (squandering) mentioned in the 151st ayat is of various types: • Israaf in belief, i.e. doubts etc. • Israaf in all affairs. • Israaf in retaliation • Israaf in eating and drinking. May Allah protect us from every type of Israaf.

Aqra is cutting off the tendons near the heel after which the animal cannot move about and gradually dies. Though not explained in the ayat, there are details in the traditions which state that this she-camel was born miraculously and it was able to drink all the water in a day. The killing of this camel doomed thousands of people to perdition. So that those who can perceive shall derive a lesson from this.
Benefit: The Holy Quran has compared Sodomy to Israaf, a dirty deed, transgression, exceeding of bounds and ignorance. Indeed this is a ‘terrible act if only people could realize this.

The Almighty Allah has created women for sexual satisfaction but the People of Lut (a.s.) used males for this purpose which was severely punished by Allah. because Allah absolutely loathes this practice. He cannot tolerate it in any form. Believers should just wait to see the consequences of those who popularize this practice and take refuge in government regulations to lend it legality. It is a kind of oppression on women when men gradually become needless of the females in society and the women shall be left to serve like men. This will finally lead to the extinction of human race. The destruction of races is itself a divine punishment.
