Commentary on this passage
Verse 96
1.Some people think that a man should be patient so that the wicked people would be ashamed of themselves and come to their senses and to the right path but this is not right. On the contrary the right standard of good is that, its answer should be according to the condition and if suitability of good virtues have been found in mankind then answer should be given with patience and if he is only prepared for mischief then show your strength that they cannot feel your weakness. Otherwise rebellion and mischief will be created just as the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) had to face such mischief in Medina during his life.
Verse 97
2.To seek protection is not a sign of danger that harms your prestige. This is the sign of importance and also instruction for the people of Islam that they should be seekers of protection from Allah at every moment and should protect themselves from Satanic wickedness.
Verse 100
3.According to people with an intimate recognition of Allah, all thanks to Allah that He has clarified this question here otherwise Shaitan would get another chance to deviate people with the excuse that if they become liable for hell due to their misdeeds then they can always return to this world for rectification of the same then what is the hurry for virtue and goodness? The way to return is open and it just needs a little imploring in Allah’s presence for a second chance.

What is the reason of this monologue? Question is posed and answer is also provided. That is if they are asked this they shall give the same reply? Maybe they do not reply in this way. Maybe they really do not consider Allah as the Lord and the Creator. The clear reply is that all these things are based on human nature and man cannot go against nature. Denial can depend upon circumstances but the decision of the nature is immutable.

Seen and Unseen is with relation to the creatures, as they are able to see some things and unable to see others. With regard to the Creator nothing is unseen. There is no question of His not knowing something. Related to this is a joke that is famous that according to Muslims no one knows the unseen except Allah because He has no such matter. Then where is the question of knowing it. He is called the Knower of the unseen with regard to the creatures. What is unseen by man is seen by Allah.
