Commentary on this passage
Verse 3
1.Muslims were restless for victory. Allah sent the help and Mecca was conquered for them and after that demanded Tasbeeh (Glorification of Allah) and Istighfar (Asking forgiveness from Allah) so that haughtiness does not enter into the heart of man after victory and keeping in view the importance of the issue the Prophet of Islam (s.a.w.s.) was addressed. It is evident that Hudaibiya Peace Treaty was the beginning of the victory of Mecca and completion of victory of Mecca is breaking of idols of Ka’ba. And both the deeds were performed by Ali (a.s.) in which there was no role of other companions of the Prophet and there is no one alike or equal to Ali (a.s.) among the followers of Islam.
