Verses 1–2

4.This Surah proclaims the fact that in the worldly affairs truce and reconciliation is the best thing, but in religious matters there is no place for truce and reconciliation and this promise of the unbelievers that, we will worship your Gods also is absolutely wrong, because in Islam the foundation of worship is on oneness of Allah, and an idol-worshipper cannot worship One Allah. The meaning of worship of One Allah is to be aloof from other deities and that should be taken as a norm and the religion in which there is no aloofness is not a religion, it is a fraud. In the Surah repetition of sentences is the proof of the importance of the issue that in any period of time, unbelievers and polytheists may initiate reconciliation with respect to beliefs, that is if a question come to worshipping wrong, the Muslims should not agree to such type of truce and he should know that his religion is perfect.
