Ad-Dhuhaa

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ﴿١﴾

93:1By the morning brightness,¹

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ﴿٢﴾

93:2and by the night when it is calm!²

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ﴿٣﴾

93:3Your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you,³⁴

وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ﴿٤﴾

93:4and the Hereafter shall be better for you than the world.

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ﴿٥﴾

93:5Soon your Lord will give you [that with which] you will be pleased.

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ﴿٦﴾

93:6Did He not find you an orphan, and shelter you?⁵

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ﴿٧﴾

93:7Did He not find you astray, and guide you?⁶

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ﴿٨﴾

93:8Did He not find you needy, and enrich you?⁷

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ﴿٩﴾

93:9So, as for the orphan, do not oppress him;

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ﴿١٠﴾

93:10and as for the beggar, do not chide him;

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ﴿١١﴾

93:11and as for your Lord’s blessing, proclaim it!⁸
