Commentary on this passage

Verse 1

2.Those who cheat in measurement and weight should think of the hereafter. Firstly because in the hereafter there will be punishment for each and every evil deed. It is definitely an evil and embezzlement and there also deeds will be measured and weighed and if Allah also adopts the same way and deals in the same coin what will be the result of man ? Every sensible person should take a lesson from this concept and should behave with the servants of Allah in such way as he expects the Lord of universe to behave with him. As Islamic teachings repeatedly say: Be kind and you will get kindness. You be kind in the world so that on the day of Qiyamat you will get kindness. You be kind with the servants of Allah so that Allah will be kind to you.

Verse 7

3.From these holy verses it can be estimated that in the management of nature there are two types of scrolls. In one names are recorded of all evil-doers, those having wrong beliefs, and non-believers. And in the other are recorded the names of the proximate ones, holy persons, pious and good people. For first type is Hell and punishment of the grave and for the second is Paradise and pure drink. Man has to compete in this world to attain Paradise and the bounties of Paradise. It is no use giving away your life for material wealth which is useless once you die.
