67:1Blessed is He in whose hands is all sovereignty, and He has power over all things.12

67:2He, who created death and life that He may test you [to see] which of you is best in conduct. And He is the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.

67:3He created seven heavens in layers. You do not see any discordance in the creation of the All-beneficent. Look again! Do you see any flaw?34

67:5We have certainly adorned the lowest heaven with lamps, and made them [the means of pelting] missiles against the devils, and We have prepared for them a punishment of the Blaze.8910

67:6For those who defy their Lord is the punishment of hell, and it is an evil destination.

67:7When they are thrown in it, they hear it blaring, as it seethes,1112

67:8almost exploding with rage. Whenever a group is thrown in it, its keepers will ask them, ‘Did not any warner come to you?’13

67:9They will say, ‘Yes, a warner did come to us, but we impugned [him] and said, ‘Allah did not send down anything; you are only in great error.’

67:10And they will say, ‘Had we listened or applied reason, we would not have been among inmates of the Blaze.’

Commentary on this passage

Verse 1

1.We should know that there is difference between the dominion of Allah and countries of the world. All countries have status of only a duty and credence and more than that, they have no other value. That is the reason, a head of a country is not capable to bring just a little change in his own country. He cannot make any change in the fact of just a minute particle of the universe. Rather in most cases, the country itself changes its own head. It continues to make him a child, a young man, old man, sick and dead and he is not capable to avoid any of this. But the kingdom of Allah is absolutely different from this. Another thing is that all the countries of the world are known by their boundaries and where these boundaries end, their dominion also ends. But the dominion of Allah has no boundaries and no limits of any sort can be fixed or established to it. His dominion is connected to His Authority and His Authority can never be restricted. Therefore, His Kingdom is also unlimited.

Verse 2

2.The Ayat clearly announces that in the eyes of Allah excess of deeds have no importance, but goodness is the standard. Man can create too much of deeds very easily, but good deed is a very difficult act. Because excess deeds are connected with repetition of deeds and the connection of good deeds is with sincerity of deeds. To bring sincerity in deeds is not possible for everyone. If that is created one stroke can also become heavier than the worship of mankind and spirits (the world and hereafter). But not everyone can obtain this honour. Ain Sa-a’dat Bazor-e-Bazoo Neest. (This achievement is not only due to physical strength) - Persian saying.
