57:4It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days; then settled on the Throne. He knows whatever enters the earth and whatever emerges from it and whatever descends from the sky and whatever ascends to it, and He is with you wherever you may be, and Allah watches what you do.12345
57:5To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah all matters are returned.
57:6He makes the night pass into the day and makes the day pass into the night, and He knows best what is in the breasts.
57:7Have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and spend out of that of which He has made you heirs. There is a great reward for those of you who have faith and spend [in Allah’s way].
57:8Why should you not have faith in Allah when the Apostle invites you to have faith in your Lord, and He has certainly made a covenant with you, if you are [genuinely] faithful?6
57:9It is He who sends down manifest signs to His servant that He may bring you out of darkness into light, and indeed Allah is most kind and merciful to you.
57:10Why should you not spend in the way of Allah, when to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent [their means] and fought before the victory are not equal [to others]. They are greater in rank than those who have spent and fought afterwards. Yet Allah has promised the best reward to each and Allah is well aware of what you do.78

Commentary on this passage
The greatest distinction of Islamic economics is that Islam considers every owner as the owner according to the physical possession. And as per the spiritual credence, the representative and agent of Allah’s actual (original) property is his own and actual owner is Allah only. He has give the man only the status of His representative and agent. And it is obvious that it is the responsibility of the agent that he should not make any changes from one state to another without the consent of the master. And the fact is that if this same subtle point becomes clear to man, all the problems pertaining to economy can be solved.
(i) With this only the difference between the halaal and haraam will become evident, that property is not ours, and we are obedient to the will of the master. Whatever He makes halaal it will be halaal and to whatever He forbids will be haraam.
(ii) There will be no problem in spending because whenever the real master commands to spend it is the duty of the agent to spend.
(iii) The philosophy of giving Zakat and Khums will be known, because whatever the real owner fixes for us will become ours and whatever He allows for others will become theirs.
(iv) The pride of spending on charity will be no more. We have given away the money of others, nothing of ours, then where is the question of pride?
(v) The thought of hoarding will be finished because if He can give so much without any action whatsoever. Then after spending in His way, He will certainly give more, then what is the use of hoarding? In fact hoarding is a sign of lack of faith in Him. Which is not worthy of dignity of any Muslim gentleman.
