Verses 1–6

وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرْوًۭا﴿١﴾

51:1By the scattering [winds] that scatter [the clouds];

فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقْرًۭا﴿٢﴾

51:2by the [rain] bearing [clouds] laden [with water];

فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسْرًۭا﴿٣﴾

51:3by [the ships] which move gently [on the sea];

فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمْرًا﴿٤﴾

51:4by [the angels] who dispense [livelihood] by [His] command:

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌۭ﴿٥﴾

51:5indeed what you are promised is true,⁵

وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٌۭ﴿٦﴾

51:6and indeed the retribution will surely come to pass!
