Al-Humaza

وَيْلٌۭ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍۢ لُّمَزَةٍ﴿١﴾

104:1Woe to every scandal-monger and slanderer,⁴⁵⁶

ٱلَّذِى جَمَعَ مَالًۭا وَعَدَّدَهُۥ﴿٢﴾

104:2who amasses wealth and counts it over.⁷

يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُۥٓ أَخْلَدَهُۥ﴿٣﴾

104:3He supposes his wealth will make him immortal!⁸

كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنۢبَذَنَّ فِى ٱلْحُطَمَةِ﴿٤﴾

104:4No indeed! He will surely be cast into the Crusher.⁹

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحُطَمَةُ﴿٥﴾

104:5And what will show you what is the Crusher?

نَارُ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوقَدَةُ﴿٦﴾

104:6[It is] the fire of Allah, set ablaze,

ٱلَّتِى تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى ٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةِ﴿٧﴾

104:7which will overspread the hearts.¹⁰

إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌۭ﴿٨﴾

104:8Indeed it will close in upon them¹¹

فِى عَمَدٍۢ مُّمَدَّدَةٍۭ﴿٩﴾

104:9in outstretched columns.¹²¹³
