Commentary on this passage
Verse 1
1.The day of Judgement will be in fact terrible day. That humans will be seen flying like moths. Mountains will be like thrashed cotton. That means the gravity and weight of everything will be lost. It is obvious that in such an environment if the scale of deeds remain heavy it is a sign that this good deed is heavier than mountains and the performer of such deed is surely eligible that he should be rewarded with a pleasant life of heaven. Otherwise ifsomeone’s scale of deed has become lighter and his deed also flies away in the storm of Qiyamat, then he cannot get anything but Hell, because in the deeds he kept in mind the weight of this world and had mostly disregarded the weight of the hereafter. Otherwise if he had given a thought that the weight of this world, compared to the weight of the next world is absolutely worthless and has no standing at all. Here the deed may be of little weight, but it should be heavy and strong with regard to the hereafter.
