Commentary on this passage
Verse 7
1.One facade of Islam’s system of justice is this also, that, man should not allow his humanistic behaviour to slip away from his hand under any circumstances. And even after divorce, if the service of suckling is taken from the lady (ex-wife) for the child, then she should be paid for it. Excuse of poverty is not tenable. He should spend according to his economic status. If he is poor he should spend like poor, and if he is wealthy he should spend in that manner and he should not be a miser because Allah never imposes a duty on anyone that he is incapable of performing and He never likes a miser. Islam has similar laws regarding strength, endurance and the same law is for land wealth. Only difference is in connection with strength which is interpreted with the word wus’a i.e. expanse, which is the primary stage of strength. And in connection to wealth it is compared to Ala-maa Aataha (whatever is bestowed), which is enough to cause man to feel, that whatever he is spending is not his own and nor Allah has imposed this law on his head by force, but first He has given him the wealth and then has demanded to spend out of it.
Verse 12
2.This is an indication that as Allah has created a number of skies, in the same way He has created a number of earths. Probably number seven is used since people of that period believed in seven heavens and were aware of that much only. Otherwise may be some other consideration will be there. Otherwise on the basis of recent discoveries and Islamic traditions their numbers is much more. And Allah knows best.

Benefit
Only this Surah mentions seven earths and this shows that it is having a sort of contradiction. Maybe in the future some researches will expose that which is not possible to be understood in the present world.
