Verses 64–79

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ﴿٦٤﴾

43:64Indeed Allah is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is a straight path.’

فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ﴿٦٥﴾

43:65But the factions differed among themselves. So woe to the wrongdoers for the punishment of a painful day.

هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا ٱلسَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ﴿٦٦﴾

43:66Do they not consider that the Hour may overtake them suddenly while they are unaware?

ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ﴿٦٧﴾

43:67On that day, friends will be one another’s enemies, except for the Godwary.^*

يَٰعِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَلَآ أَنتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ﴿٦٨﴾

43:68[They will be told,] ‘O My servants! Today you will have no fear, nor will you grieve

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَكَانُوا۟ مُسْلِمِينَ﴿٦٩﴾

43:69—those who believed in Our signs and had been Muslims.

ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ﴿٧٠﴾

43:70Enter paradise, you and your spouses, rejoicing.’

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِصِحَافٍۢ مِّن ذَهَبٍۢ وَأَكْوَابٍۢ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ ٱلْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ ٱلْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنتُمْ فِيهَا خَٰلِدُونَ﴿٧١﴾

43:71They will be served around with golden dishes and goblets, and therein will be whatever the souls desire and eyes delight in. ‘You will remain in it [forever].^*

وَتِلْكَ ٱلْجَنَّةُ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ﴿٧٢﴾

43:72That is the paradise you have been given to inherit for what you used to do.

لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ كَثِيرَةٌۭ مِّنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ﴿٧٣﴾

43:73There are abundant fruits for you in it, from which you will eat.’

إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ﴿٧٤﴾

43:74Indeed the guilty will remain [forever] in the punishment of hell.

لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ﴿٧٥﴾

43:75It will not be lightened for them, and they will be despondent in it.¹

وَمَا ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ﴿٧٦﴾

43:76We did not wrong them, but they themselves were wrongdoers.

وَنَادَوْا۟ يَٰمَٰلِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُم مَّٰكِثُونَ﴿٧٧﴾

43:77They will call out, ‘O Malik! Let your Lord finish us off!’ He will say, ‘Indeed you will stay on.’²

لَقَدْ جِئْنَٰكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَٰرِهُونَ﴿٧٨﴾

43:78‘We certainly brought you the truth, but most of you were averse to the truth.’

أَمْ أَبْرَمُوٓا۟ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ﴿٧٩﴾

43:79Have they settled on some [devious] plan? Indeed, We too are settling [on Our plans].
