Commentary on this passage
Verse 72
1.One sign of slave of Allah is also that they never attend the party of those who do not bear witness and pass by nobly from them. At present, the best sign to identify them is prayer and that many people avoid gatherings and keep aloof from fun and sports, dance and music, lying, allegation and falsehood and obtain the proof of being a slave of God in this way.
Verse 74
2.One more sign of the pious is that before becoming the leader of law and community he is worried that his wife and children would follow his footsteps, and so obeys the command of Allah and follows the right path so that this would be beneficial to him.
Verse 75
3.This is the best sign to create such attributes, depend on patience and it is not possible without patience. Those who have no patience cannot be true believers of Allah. Patience is the Jewel of faith and real Islam. Human is not a human and a true believer of Allah without patience. May Allah give us Tawfeeq for patience and include us with His devotees.

Explanations of words and phrases in these verses
Benefit
Double punishment mentioned in the 69th ayat could be apparent punishment as well as the internal disgrace and it could also be the complete punishment of different crimes, Just like Khulud can be a long period of time as well as the indication of ‘I crimes leading one towards infidelity.
- 1
Tawba is not taken as repentance. It should be accompanied by good deeds also. Only then it constitutes turning towards Allah in the correct manner. Constantly doing Tawbah and committing sins again and again is not Isteghfar (seeking forgiveness), It is ridiculing the Almighty which is in fact a type of disbelief or worse than that, and apparently too it is a great sin.
Benefit
The 74th ayat is not a prayer in words alone. It is also practical method and an indication towards capability. That a dua is a true dua only when a person tries to his utmost ability and in a feeling of helplessness he raises his hands in supplication to Allah. Without this, dua will only be a play of words.
